Natural vs Lab-grown Diamonds
Chances are, if you've spent much time looking at diamond jewelry, you've come across the term "Lab-Grown Diamonds" and may have wondered how they differ from naturally mined. Lab-grown diamonds, sometimes called engineered, cultured, or man-mad diamonds, are in every way a diamond. Both are almost entirely carbon atoms arranged in the same characteristic way that gives diamonds their sparkle and strength. The difference? Lab-grown diamonds are made in a lab from the fragment of a natural diamond, often called a diamond seed. They weren’t dug from the ground and are conflict free by design. They even come in same rainbow of colors as natural diamonds. They're also a fraction of the price for all the same durability and sparkle.
